Applications closed at 2:00 pm on Thursday, 6 April 2023.
It is intended that applicants be notified of the outcome of their application within 21 days of the close of the program. The details of all successful applicants, including the amount of the grant they receive, may be made publicly available on the Department of Premier and Cabinet’s website.
This program is funded by the Australian and Tasmanian Governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements. The aim of the funding is to assist with the financial costs of clean-up and restoration of properties for landowners that have suffered an economic loss as a direct result of the flooding and severe weather event in October 2022.
The maximum grant amount available is $10,000, per property.
In exceptional circumstances, the Department may make up to $25,000 available, per property. Exceptional circumstances apply to higher costs incurred due to the extent of damage and remediation works necessary (e.g. earth works to remediate significant erosion or landslips); as well as other factors such as environmental impact and personal capacity and hardship considerations.
To be eligible for a grant, the applicant must meet all of the eligibility criteria outlined in the Guidelines.
