Emergency Assistance - Emergency Food Grant Fund

Severe Weather Event September 2024 - State-wide Emergency Food Grant Fund
Purpose
The Tasmanian Government has announced an Emergency Food Grant Fund following significant power outages across the state.
Tasmanian households who have gone without power for at least 72 hours will be eligible for payments of $350, providing much-needed financial assistance to those impacted by the recent weather.
General Eligibility
To be eligible for the grant, you have to be:
- Tasmanian resident living in an affected area, and
- gone without power for at least 72 hours (3 Days).
Grant Amounts
One payment of $350.00 per household is available.
Applicants can only receive this grant once per household, regardless of how many 72-hour outage periods they experienced.
*If you have already received an Emergency Flood Relief payment - you are STILL eligible to receive payment under the Emergency Food Grant Fund.
